So last night despite the snow I went to see Little Dragon for the first time and
I highly highly recommend seeing them live, so go do that! if they haven’t already swung by your city.
The whole show was fucking amazing. Yukimi’s voice and the marriage proposal scenarios in my head aside, the band was so on point + then some. Much to my surprise the entire show was upbeat. I’m not a crazy fan of Brooklyn indie bands or whatever crowds, but this time around people were dancing and singing along -pure vibes.
To top it off towards the end of the show the band started going into 15 minute long new songs and straight up house music, I’m 98% sure I heard some Carl Craig and Inner City riffs/patterns/melodies. Totally wasn’t expecting that.
Then! Then! they closed it out with fucking ‘Twice’
Ugh I wish I had gone to see them all the other times they’ve preformed in NY and for the 2nd show. Next time Little Dragon, next time
